What “type of rice” can mean
Agricultural variety or grain profile
Examples in the wider rice trade include basmati and non-basmati, aromatic and non-aromatic, and long-, medium- or short-grain rice. This does not imply that every example is available from the mill.
Processing form
Raw, steam, parboiled, brown and white or milled rice describe different processing states or methods. Availability must be confirmed.
Milling grade
A consignment may be described by its whole-kernel and broken-kernel composition, subject to the actual specification and applicable standard.
